So, how do you approach the challenge of introducing LGBTI-topic in your classes?
We like to make the comparison between a universe and a multiverse. A multiverse, in contrast to a universe, revolves around several ideas and opinions. If you want to discuss LGBTI-topics in your class room, you want to create a multiverse, where multiple ideas can co-exist.
How do you accomplish this?
There are several aspects that you should take in to account and which will be discussed in this e-learning.
The framing of a topic. Which side do you highlight? How can you create connections with other topics?
The dialogue. You want to make sure you have a conversation with each other, not against each other.
Questions: how do you pose questions to your students and how do you handle theirs?
The roots of your students, how do you respect those?
Language. How do you provide the students with the correct language?
These five aspects will be discussed throughout the next chapters.
