Welcome to the first two modules of the LGBT training on using restorative justice for victims of anti-LGBT hate crimes.
Modules 1 and 2 provide the basics and are intended for professionals with little or no knowledge and experience in working with the topic of the module.
After finishing the first module you will have knowledge of the LGBT terminology and the needs of victims of anti-LGBT hate crime.
After finishing the second module you will know about the principles and benefits of using restorative justice.
Please decide for yourself which module suits you best. Of course you are also very welcome to do both module 1 and 2. To be able to join module 3, you’ll need to follow at least one of the first two modules.
These two modules take approximately 90 minutes each.
***You have already seen the acronym ‘LGBT’ pass by a couple of times. But what does this stand for? It is an abbreviation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender. Maybe you are also familiar with LGBTQI+ (this acronym includes Queer, Intersex and others), or other variations. In this training, the acronym LGBT will be used.***
